Serial number I II III 4206313. Mongolian Tent. A very scarce design issued predominantly in the Northern Regions of China, this note saw little circulation compared to other notes from the bank. Camel and tents pictured at right in the vignette. The reverse features an all blue design with Uighur script at centre flanked by 5000 Yuan obligations on each side that are surrounded by guilloche protectors. One of the key notes of the series in original condition, and which will be heavily contested for at the time of the live sale.From the John E Sandrock Collection.
