CHINA--FOREIGN BANKS. Deutsch-Asiatische Bank. 10 Taels, 1.3.1907. P-S291s. S/M#T101-12c. Specimen. PMG About Uncirculated 55.Shanghai branch specimen. Denominated in Taels. An impressive rarity and the sole PMG graded specimen for this variety in the PMG population report. The Tael was a traditional Chinese currency that typically circulated in ingot form. Select bank note issues were denominated in this currency, including notes from three of the five branches from the Deutsch-Asiatische Bank. This particular variety features a fantastic blue and yellow color scheme that is very appealing. As is often the case with specimens of this iconic issuer, some staple holes are seen, but they are rather well hidden and not distracting. Exceptional opportunity for the specialist collector and not to be missed. PMG Comments "Staple Holes."From the Al Kugel Collection.
