A deceptively rare replacement issue, identified by the EHX prefix. By this time the Bank of Canada had stopped using an asterisk to identify replacement notes and started using specific prefixes, initially with an X. Although Charlton states that an estimated 400,000 notes of this signature combination and prefix were printed it is extremely difficult to find in any grade and becomes a modern rarity in Gem. An important opportunity for the modern Canadian specialist not to be missed.
