Variety with two grass blades and normal doors. Struck to commemorate the completion of the Kweichow (Guizhou) Provincial Highway, and reportedly featuring Governor Zhou Xichengs personal automobile. Emanating from a vastly popular series of Dollars, this auto type from Kweichow was a success with collectors from very early on, as <em>The China Weekly Review</em> from November 1933 (<em>just five years after this type was minted</em>) mentions that "<em>...many of them still circulate in the province, although the coins recently have become scarce because of their acquisition by coin-collectors all over the world.</em>" Adding further allure and intrigue, the article mentions that Xicheng (Chow Si-keng) instructed the coins artist to "<em>...arrange the weeds or vegetation under the car in such a manner as to spell out the Chinese characters "Si-Chen"</em>--his personal name. Notably, this is a fact that Kann also mentions for the type. Though some cleaning is observed as noted on the holder, this "motor-car" Dollar, as the article calls it, remains highly impressive and appealing.
