An unusual lot in any respect, this lot includes a pair of "Archival Photographs" representing a 100 Piastres note issued by the Banque de Syrie (Bank of Syria). The front depicts what appears to be an ancient fortification while the back depicts a caravan of pilgrims traversing a trail in a mountainous setting with a footbridge and stream in the foreground.
