Lot of two bronze signal cannons (mortars), Spanish colonial (1500s-1600s), one medium and one small. 3076 grams total. 2-1/2" tall and 2-3/4" in diameter for smaller, 3-1/2" tall and 3-1/4" in diameter for larger. Typical small cannons with horizontal ring-turned markings, the larger with both a touch hole and a larger hole opposite that might be as a result of a blast, dusty and well patinated; the smaller with a single touch hole and small cracks in lip, dark coloring.
