1952, Russian Revolution 35th Anniversary (C20) complete, inscribed "Soviet" (two additional characters) (Yang C94-97. Scott 194-197 vars.), bright and fresh, #4-1 & 4-2 with left sheet margin, without gum as issued; couple inconsequential toned spots on #4-1, Very Fine, a key set for any PRC collection. Scott $30,000 (HK$ 230,770). These stamps, with the erroneous single-line inscription reading "35th Anniversary of the Great October Revolution of the Soviet Union", were withdrawn before the issue date, but some sets were sold to the public at a few post offices in Hunan, Fukien and Canton areas (Hunan and Kwei Chow, according to Yang). A redrawn set, without the "Soviet Union" characters, was issued in 1953 in different colors.
