光绪丁酉年年湖北官钱局九八制钱壹千文。编号149。直式票，华丽边框，以双龙及花卉饰边，黑色中字和多个红色手章，背面显示湖广总督张之洞和湖北巡抚谭洵的黑色中字法律公文。 此为举世稀罕的一张，编者于过去十年间仅能找到两次公开拍卖纪录，而此张纸币的评分为迄今最高。晚清时期湖北省财政历史中重要的一环，编者确信再次面世需等颇长的时间。此版仅此一张获PMG评分，极罕。

Vertical format, ornate border comprising of rich flora elements intertwined between two facing dragons, black Chinese text and multiple large red hand stamps, the reverse shows black Chinese legal announcement by Zhang Zhi Dong, Viceroy of Huguang and Tan Xun, Governor of Hupeh Province. <p>A phenomenally rare note that the cataloguer can only find two other examples being sold in public auctions over the last ten years and this note by far the superior in grade. A historically important piece in the finance of Hupeh Province during the late Qing era and the cataloguer is sure that no equivalent piece will be available for a long time.
