L&M-290; cf. WS-1349-64. This curious fantasy restrike issue presents on both sides the reverse of the Changchow military ration Dollar, first issued in 1844. A <strong>RARE</strong> issuance, this example offers boldly struck characters on each side and a deep mottled tone. Inspection reveals tool marks on the peripheries and between some of the characters, but these are largely obscured by the charcoal coloration and do not harm the coins unique eye appeal.
