Weight: 365.4 gms. 康定縣 (Kangding County), 興記 (Xingji), 民國拾六年 (16th Year of the Republic of China). This wholesome ingot displays rich slate patina with earthen deposits amongst the devices. The stamps are somewhat shallow and uneven with areas of flatness. A pleasant ingot from a historically interesting area that is sure to add depth to the next collection it enters.<p><em>The capital city of the Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is Kangding. It is considered to be the historical border between Tibet and the rest of China and is located on the bank of the Badu River. Originally called Dajianlu, the city was renamed to Kangding in 1904.</em>
