拍品描述： 民国十年徐世昌像纪念银样币。天津造币厂。齿边，反面底部无铭文。较罕的版式，壹圆大小，虽见经洗痕迹，但光泽连续，银白通透，扣人心弦，别具个性的一枚。深受喜爱的版别，早前被认为是样币，但实际上应是纪念章，计划于北京协和医学堂开幕之时送出。凉亭下的空白处意欲雕刻受赠人姓名，但后来因制作困难而改为两花之间有纪念币三字。<p>CHINA. The <strong>RARER</strong> version of this ever-desirable crown-sized issue, the present example does exhibit some noted cleaning, but otherwise offers surfaces that are free from wear or breaks in its vibrant luster, all while some cosmically-inspired vibrancy wholly captivates the gaze of the viewer. A tantalizing specimen with an inordinate degree exceptional character.<p><em>An incredibly popular and desirable type believed to have been a pattern issue, it now appears that these were, in fact, more medallic in nature, and meant to be given out upon the opening of the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), the facade of which is displayed upon the reverse. Initially designed with a blank field below the pavilion for the intended recipients name to be engraved, the reverse was altered slightly to contain the characters 紀念幣 between two rosettes, as the engraving proved difficult on the initial batch.</em>
