Undated (ca. 1652-1674) St. Patrick Farthing. Martin 1c.20-Da.2, W-11500. Rarity-7. Copper. Nothing Below King. VF-25 (PCGS).86.4 grains. Really a lovely example of the type, both sides are hard, glossy and toned in a blend of autumn-brown and olive-copper. An ancient scratch on the reverse at the saints outstretched hand is the only mark of note, although there are also minor flan flaws (as made) at 8 oclock relative to the obverse, above the crown, and in the right reverse field behind King Davids back.
With a large, bright splasher atop and around the crown and all major design elements bold, it is difficult for us to imagine a more inviting St. Patrick farthing at the lower reaches of VF.PCGS# 915310.
