PMG Very Fine 30.A true miracle of survival for this institution chartered on Nov. 2, 1863 is this lovely note from the first sheet of original $5 notes delivered to the bank. Up until now, no First Charter notes were reported on this Wapello County bank. Fortunately for collectors it is a pleasing mid-grade note with firm paper and pleasing ink signatures of the bank officers also bearing serial number 1. This is just the fifth Original $5 serial number 1 example to be reported on the state according to the National Bank Note Census. PMG Comments "Tears.".
