拍品描述： (Ca. 1795) Portrait seal of Thomas Paine by Wedgwood. Black basalt, 24 x 20 mm. Choice Extremely Fine.Marked WEDGWOOD across the blank back. The distinctive profile of Paine is depicted facing the words "My Country!!!" at the right border. Some harmless encrustation is seen in the interstices of the design from when this seal did its job, otherwise the condition is about perfect.
