MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1881-Oa AE. Oaxaca Mint. NGC AU-53. KM-377.11; DP-Oa26. Variety with die style of 1881-1889. Pale golden toned with violet contrast that appears over the highpoints. Close inspection reveals interesting doubling on many of the letters within MEXICANA as well as within the leaves on the nearby wreath.
