Type 1 obverse variety. Minimally handled, this example displays portions of mottled purple and orange tone with swaths of brilliance existing over each side. RARE with the type 1 obverse (which is known on the following dates: 1866-1879, 1881, 1882-H, 1885), which displays a more youthful portrait of Queen Victoria.
