拍品描述： 唐代或以后海兽葡萄镜，直径9.3公分，重183.6克，约EF品相。此镜纹饰铸造工艺複杂精湛，有别于其他海兽葡萄镜，没有分内外两圈。瑞兽跟葡萄均带有域外文化色彩，加上铸工精美华丽，是唐高宗至唐玄宗年间上流社会流行之物，亦充分反映唐代因丝绸之路所带来的盛世繁华。China, Tang Dynasty or later, a copper, tin, and lead alloy mirror, one side was highly polished for reflective purposes, reverse decorated with intricate patterns of mythical sea creatures and grapes casted from clay moulds. These mirrors were often found as funerary objects in tombs of aristocrats, especially those during the reign of Tang Gao Zong till Tang Xuan Zong, hence it is a good indicator that such mirrors were in vogue among the social elite during this period.
