TIBET: Xuan Tong, 1909-1911, AE 1/4 sho, year 1 (1909), Y-B7, two syllables of the legend in the upper square read shon thong (Tibetan transcription of [Emperor] Xuan Tong) separated by a small vertical stroke, legend in lower square reads: zho i 4/1 ("1/4 of the sho"), PCGS graded XF40. In the Tibetan language fractions are written with the denominator placed above and the numerator below which is the opposite to the Western way of writing fractions.
