Obverse: Diademed head of nymph right; uncertain symbol to left; Reverse: Man-headed bull standing right, head facing; above, crowning Nike flying left. Mislabeled by ANACS as "Neapolis Campania". Deeply toned and with most details clear, this example stands as an <strong>EXTREMELY RARE</strong> offering from a seldom-seen mint. After a several year gap between the 4th Century B.C., there was a brief revival in Campanian coinage in the latter half of the century. This particular example, an apparent cousin of the common Neapolitan types, instead bears the legend "KYMAIΩN" on the reverse. Undoubtedly a specimen that will attract the interest of the esteemed Greek collector, and is assuredly a must have for any collector seeking examples from Magna Graecia. Ex: Barquera Collection.
