MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1739-Mo MF. Mexico City Mint. Philip V. NGC MS-62. KM-103; FC-11a; Gil-M-8-11; Yonaka-M8-39. This wholly original looking example boasts crisp well-formed devices with plenty of remaining luster in the protected areas. Pleasing to the eye, this handsome piece displays lovely rich mottled patina in the peripheries while the exposed areas and high points offer an attractive soft gray with delicate sunset and dusky hues amongst the devices that pops out when tilted in the light. Clearly an example that sat for a prolonged period of time undisturbed and as such is very attractive with lots of character and charm.
