SASANIAN KINGDOM: Shahpur II, 309-379, AR drachm (3.52g), G-95, kings bust right with mural crown & korymbos, 5 circles above the crown base // fire altar with two elegantly engraved attendants, fravahr left & taurine right of the flames, reverse die-break visible in the upper right, choice VF-EF, RR. Likely struck very early in the reign of Shahpur II, stylistically similar to the issues of his predecessor Hormizd II (303-309).
