Ancient - Armenia. ARMENIA: SASANIAN: AR drachm (2.97g), NM, year 6 (frozen), cf. Zeno-17577, probably struck during the second half of the 7th century or slightly later, bold VF, R. This type was based on the standard drachm of Hormizd IV (579-590), with the mint name replaced by the denomination ZWZWN, the Aramaic word for the silver drachm, struck throughout much of the 7th century, later adopted by the Umayyads with a name or words added in Arabic (type A-E97).
