Of the 67 issued examples certified by PMG, this is the ONLY issued example they examined and found to not have a fold. <p>This Waterlow and Sons design is among the most popular word banknotes and has certainly found itself in the pantheon of the paper money collecting hobby as no Latin America collection can truly be complete without an example of this renowned design showing Da Vincis Mona Lisa at center. <p><p>It is a note synonymous with artistry, and part of the Series B issue for the Banco Internacional of Costa Rica. The design was issued from 1931 to 1936 when the bank transformed into the National Bank of Costa Rica.
