PMG Choice Fine 15.The Congo Free State was an absolute monarchy of Leopold II of Belgium from 1885 until 1908, at which time it became a Belgian Colony. There are only two notes for the Congo Free State: the 1896 10 Francs and the 1896 100 Francs. This excellent highest denomination has good appeal for its grade.
