PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.This note represents one of just two examples listed on PMGs population report for this incredibly rare proof variety. This proof variety is far more difficult to acquire than the specimen type. The Republic of Viet Nam existed from 1955 to 1975, and this design was proposed for the first series of currency for the South. The Old Man was printed to signify dedication and longevity, while he stared at the temple that represented the religious sentiment of the region. On the reverse is a woman at right with a Junk on river at left. The border design is comprised of multiple colors offering exceptional appeal. There is no watermark at center, which would be found on a Specimen. Rare, and surely missing from even the most advanced collections of South East Asian currency.From the Prosperity Collection.
